Hey once again pplz..Here are the pics from the camp which i mention in my previous posting..actually i went up to the mountains later due to the class which i had to attend in the morning..right after the class..i went back and my dad drove me all the way to bundutuhan..actually i was the one who drove and it was my 1st time driving long distance..and damn its was tiring..i skipped the wednesday class cuz the 2 nd day of the camp was the outing to the adopted family house and i don wan to miss it(Sorry Pn chai tat i missed the last class)..hehe..
Anyway my posting will start on the 2nd day as there wasn't much to talk bout the 1st day cuz i missed half of the session due to the class..as usual every year..we will wake up early at 6 and have our morning exercise and after tat proceed for our breakfast..right after breakfast which was around 8..all of the children gathered outside to prepare for the outing to their respective adopted family house which was few metres away from the retreat centre..My adopted family house was the furthest which was 2KM drive downhill..so we were privillaged to have someone drive us there or we would have not make it there by walking..
When we got t0 the place..the house was very old and still in the 60's way of living..i don really consider my family as poor cuz they still have all the daily needs..just tat the house has no elctricity, refrigerator, mashing machine and so on..for water supply..they get it from the downstream which was absolutely clean..when we got there, the sister who was with us explained to the family the objective and due to the season of lent..its the time for almsgiving and helping ppl who are really in need like my adopted family..in other words we share things that we have such as foods and drinks..the night before we went for this outing we have already planned on wat to give and do..so i suggested to the children to take out half of their foods out and give it to them cuz i see the children bringing more foods from home than clothing which make their lauggage so big!!!hahaha..
Getting back to the outing..we sing, interacted, and PRAYED so the family will be bless and the children will be given the wisdom and knowledge to bring the family a better living in the future..around 12noon..we went back to the retreat centre to have our lunch..right after lunch we had our reporting session from every groups and all gave a very good report..some of the group even got the chance to go to the paddy field, and play football(so nice)..but it was a great experience for me and the children as we did something good for lent season..
During evening around 6..we had a mass service which was especially for the children and the celebrant was Father Ambrose(not sure if tats th spellig)..the mass was conducted in malay..the mass finish around 7 and staright went back to retreat centre for our dinner..around 8 we went back to the hall for the group presentation..and every group presented a drama which was so hillarious with all the children..hahahaha..its not only the children who presented but also the teen which was me and few teens..our drama was the most funny one..cuz it the drama was bout heroes tryin to defeat the evil and with the power of god all combined powers to defeat the evil!!one thing was our character was very very funny..my character was fart man(LOL)..the others were supergirl(my sister),NACHO LIBRE,SWORD MAN(A BROOM STICK AS HIS SWORD),FLASHGIRL(USING HER CAM),TICKLING GIRL,CAT WOMAN AND BONCING BOY!!haha..wierd character but funny..the children enjoyed our drama and i'm happy..the climaks for tat retreat was after the presentation where everyone dance and sang "tinggi tinggi gunung kinabalu"..everybody took part and went around holding ppls back while singing..around 11 we went back to our room and sleep..
The next day which was the last day of the camp..we had the station of the cross session and praising songs..everyone went to carry the cross including the teens and aunty and uncle..and yea the cross was very very heavy..i can imagine how heavy does god have to carry our sins on his shoulder each time we sin..till now my shoulder is pain..Above is me carrying the cross..we finish the morning session almost noon and went back to our room to pack our things and for our lunch..around 2pm..we departed for kk and reach home sweet home around 4..
Tats all to say bout my camp trip..hope u guys enjoy reading and seeing the pics..

Lent is a season of soul-searching and repentance. It is a season for reflection and taking stock. Lent originated in the very earliest days of the Church as a preparatory time for Easter, when the faithful rededicated themselves and when converts were instructed in the faith and prepared for baptism. By observing the forty days of Lent, the individual Christian imitates Jesus’ withdrawal into the wilderness for forty days. All churches that have a continuous history extending before AD 1500 observe Lent. The ancient church that wrote, collected, canonized, and propagated the New Testament also observed Lent, believing it to be a commandment from the apostles. (See The Apostolic Constitutions, Book V, Section III.)
If your church does not observe Lent, you can find out why.
You can read about fasting, which is a spiritual discipline that does not involve starvation or dehydration. You can also read Honest to God for an explanation of what we accomplish by observing Lent.
